My uniform of life basically - shirt and shorts to go out anywhere (unless its cold)
I guess I was being strange and wore a long sleeved shirt with frills on the shoulders - Maybe if the shirt had more frills on the sleeve and kept the sleeves short. I recon that would've looked better - especially since it is melting outside.

Party people on the weekend wear what? Short dresses! Everyone has been wearing them since the mini rules. Minhee is wearing the black and white mini dress that is super fluffy on the top! Thi is wearing a animal print mini, with a belt and a greek-inspired cold shoulder.

I really adore the cold shoulder sleeves; to me they look so elegant and sexy at the same time!

The birthday girl wore a snappy dress from Mixed Lollies - I adore the black and white extra skirt that is coming out! It's like a big BOOM out of her!

When you want to eliminate the possibility of wearing the same outfit as someone else - you make the costume yourself. I found my inspiration: a top in my closet that I had never worn - it was a man shirt with a scary pirate on it from Jay Jay's (When the new Pirates of the Caribbean Movie was out).

I also had a spare blue and white striped shirt that I didnt' like anymore - I ripped it up and mutated the man shirt to create a messy dress for a Pirate!

I looked for a red bandanna, handkerchief, fabric place mat - nothing. I did find a red tie in my cleaning adventures and thought that would be alright to wear instead! I finished my outfit off by wearing one arm warmer with mismatched bling; gold earring one one ear and feathers on the other

My eye make up was fun cuz I just splashed color on my eyes. I threw on lots of blue eye shadow - and added stripes a bit of blue and silver on my cheek.I then smeared on thick eyeliner to make my eyes stand out. I learnt from vids on youtube that you put on the eye shadow before the eyeliner - and it makes life so much easier!

My mother laughed at my outfit as I went out to go shopping. She said that I had "angry" shoes on and all you could see were legs! I thought it looked alright - high waisted cream pencil skirt with a white throw over vest. Since the vest was too low to wear by itself (for my taste) I added an undershirt. I also had to use a pin to hold the vest together - I think it looked better done up rather than hanging

My sister kept it casual with cuffed jean shorts, black top and my oversized shirt dress - keeping it casual with MY clothes (anyone got a younger sister? you share my pain )

Nauvoo wore a cute floral dress and black corset top. What I adored about her outfit that night was her Vampire Knight jacket - Its so cool and it shows off her love for the anime and cosplay!

What to wear when riding a bike

I decided to use my bike as a main mode of transportation on the weekend and had a little dilema- how can I look casual; Not like I'm going to the gym?

Here's what I wore-I found some old shorts from last summer and a top with mesh cuts through it from Mixed Lollies. I didn't want to wear sneakers (cuz mine are ugly) so I wore the flat, lace up boots I got from Betts.

Do you know that my feet get real sweaty and smelly if I don't wear socks with closed shoes(hee hee now you do)?

I had to wear socks but I didn't want those small gym ones because my calves would get super sweaty. I got come long knee high socks from a friend and threw them on with the boots. I did it for comfort at first but when I was out with the girls one of them said that they loved the mix of boots and socks! :)

So if you're biking - wear for comfort first, comfortable bottoms and a loose top.

Day of Casuals?

Hangin out with the girls to watch a dance performance is good - but right after work? What do you wear? I just threw on some basketball sneakers to make my look -_-. Leah (gal on the left) kept her work top - threw on a short slleve blazer, shorts, long necklace and some summer high heels.

Just tweak a few things to make office gear look cool!

It was Jeans for Genes day at work; so I threw on my tight blue jeans, black heels and an oversized white top. I wore this because I knew that I wouldn't have time to change into dance clothes that evening - I had to wear something "professional" but funky.

I also wore blue stud earrings - just to show a little bit of color when the wind blew. I am realy getting into wearing matching bright colored jewelry (lets say blue earrings, ring and braclet) with an outfit that doesn't match the color scheme of the clothes (a red dress). I think I'll have to dress up and take a picture of myself and put it up so that you can get a better idea of what I'm on about.

Christmas in July!

Themed parties are really the best - I don't get why some people don't like them! You can be creative and abstract with your clothes. Nauvoo was the only person who used green (a MAJOR Christmas color) as a main color - look at that electric green dress. It completely stood out from all the red and white outfits on display that evening!

Minhee convinced these boys to all dress up and serve everyone food! I adore how they're all in uniform, and impressed with Minhee's convincing skills!

This is my headshot - I liked that the most about my outfit that evening. I wore a red beret, red feather earrings and a white scarf! I also put my hair in low pigtails and curled them a bit. I also wore a red mini dress, with brown boots.

then Darth Vader rocked up the party - that's when it got wild!

This is what I wore after work today - I had to keep in mind that I was taking my little sister for a driving lesson (super scary!) So I threw on tight black jeans, loose cold shoulder top and flat boots to be fully prepared. I must admit that I think I went overboard with the accessories. Headband, red sunnies, long heart necklace a ring on each finger and bangles - was that too much?

MC looked super cute in her gear~ She had her new favorite leopard print dance pants and thongs. I helped her with the top of her body. I lent her my long feather earrings and white man shirt. There was a massive sale on at Ed Harrys in town so I grabbed a few men's shirts for $5 each - thy're all XL and above but I fixed the shirt.
I made it to fit better at the bottom of the shirt so that it didn't look like a bag over anyone who wears it. Helps you look super relaxed without looking like you've gone out with your pajamas!

One afternoon after work I was cleaning my wardrobe and saw clothes that might look good together but do not fit me - either too big or too small. Thankfully I had my little sister and her friends to help me with my dilemma. It's school holidays now and all they seem to do is lay around the house and watch TV (which is what I did but I can do that). I had MC throw on her long sleeveless tye-dye dress while I did the rest. I found this long colorful scarf at the Todd Mall Markets on Sunday and thought of other ways to wear a scarf. After mucking around a bit - we found that the scarf could work real good with it on her head! I enjoyed the disco gypsy feel the scarf gave off.

This was Manako's outfit. My long sleeve print shirt on her with my pastel orange hoodie throw over. She wore her running shorts on the bottom to make this more of a gym outfit. For some fun I added a sleepy patch - that's what I call those things that go over your eyes when you want/really need to sleep. I found it a cute contrast to the rest of the outfit.

Manako then wore a silver mini skirt with suspenders covered in sequins. I then added my favorite oversized Hello Kitty shirt. I think the tight bottoms and large top worked well together - if there had been a tight top with the skirt, I think it would've looked very sexy. But I'm aiming for the cute look here - Hello Kitty is super cute!

MC grabbed another long dress - I added the bright red throw over. Then we put her hair in a high ponytail with a headband on holding her fringe down. I love the high hair paired with long earrings - so I let her wear my white feather earrings.

Manako wore what I would really like to wear to the office - only thing is everything that she's wearing I cannot fit into nicely. A long high waisted black skirt with a white long sleeved shirt topped with a button up blue top that had puffed sleeves. I added the clutch because I really liked it and haven't had an opportunity to use it yet. :( I'll have to wait

Ma eyes

Ok here's me trying to be cute - I was really trying to get my eyes in this one because I had some fun with it. I read somewhere that bright eyeliner was coming in style and I always really enjoyed the white on the eyes as a bit of a brightener. So, what I did was outline my eyes with black eyeliner (very thin though and very close to the eye ball) then outline with the white. I like it because it REALLY makes you eyes stand out.

If I had a brighter color eye (say blue or green) then I would adore to do this with an eyeliner that matched my eye color - I think with brown it wouldn't work that well on my eyes.

Wearing a necklace as headgear

Hello again! Long time no write huh? Well I'm getting back into it starting by showing a funny picture of ma face. I got some new bangs/fringe on ma face to look a little more like Cleopatra! I found a necklace that my sister brought back from a school trip and thought it was the weirdest thing to buy. It was bits of fabric tied onto a chain and that was a necklace.

I thought it would look better as a headpiece! I've seen the Judas MV, Run the world, and even Kelis' Egyptian inspired headgear in Bounce. I think it's true what my parents said - styles come back into fashion. (no matter how old they are)

This is what I decided to wear today! I found a corset given to me from Nauvoo (she said it was too big) and these long flowing pants with heels.

I like this combo because I'm just showing off my shoulders and arms - the flowing pants cover your legs up but can still make the onlooker take notice of them as they might think "are they pants or a long skirt?"

AH! Sorry for not blogging in AGES! I didn't realize that paperwork was important .....

But I'm back and I had my camera ready for when I saw Hollie's bag! I like it; it has a a large brooch, leather starps (my favourite no matter what decade), a colorful floral print, and she got the bag locally in town! I'm sure running a small business is hard~that's why I give my hats off to them (Cuz I don't think I could do that)

Next here we have Justin - he lived in Japan as an English teacher for about 6 years! WOW! and over there he grabbed a Japanese school uniform (for boys). It looks so snappy and it looks just like the ones I watch on their dramas! Black trousers, black button up shirt, and a white top underneath. The buttons were beautiful because they had great detail on them and it looked like the school emblem was carved into them!

ANZAC DAY 2011

ANZAC Day is very important to us Aussies~And most of the hardcore Aussies go to the Dawn Service. I went to the dawn service and learnt from last year that it is freezing at 5:30 in the morning. I grabbed my old blue jeans, 3/4 sleeved shirt, a sleeveless sports jumper with a hood and a pink shawl with tassels. I realized that my arms and fingers might fall off so I put on white gloves and threw on my arm warmers over them. THAT really keeps ur fingers warm!

Had to get rid of the winter gear because it got real warm. I decided to bike to get my cup of coffee, so I wore comfy shorts with a white top. I jazzed it up with bracelets and a long necklace~

Today I went back in time to circa 1953 - I was just thinking about the movie Gentlemen Prefer Blondes and thought of using that as my inspiration for what I should wear today. From my little wardrobe I found a 3/4 blue sleeved shirt, a brown belt and an old white skirt my Nanay got me. The while skirt I had hiding in the back because I didn't use it. I remember when she first got me that skirt, I though it was hideous. Mainly because of its abnormal length and height of where it sat. But despite that, I'm glad my nanay got it for me and that I kept it! So maybe some of the stuff my nanay gets me does look good - I just con't see it

Ellen and Taps

I went shopping for bags today at Ellen's work and needed to take a picture of her outfit~I thought it was very cute! It's only when I was hanging with her that evening that I found out how she constructed it. She had a small black with spaghetti straps jumpsuit on. And then she threw on a loose, black and white stripe cardigan! I like it!

I had another moment where I drew on my hand. I think the one thing that people noticed was the dots going from my hand to my fingers - I liked the dots. While everyone else said they looked like hairs.

I know taps and kitchen appliances might not be in the main idea of fashion (usually associated with clothes, accessories, shoes and interior designs) but I thought that this was real cool! You have the one tap that produces hot water for your tea, and chilled water! I say chilled because the water didn't freeze off your teeth when you drank it. When I get my own home I want to have one of these in my house!

Ok, this outfit I had a lot of fun making. Remember that big oversized shirt I wore out to Annies'? I had that on in the house and didn't want to change my clothes that much. So, I grabbed the train of cloth from the back of the shirt and threw it over my left shoulder. I thought it looked cool so I used a pin to hold it there - Kinda mix of cold shoulder and a one shoulder dress idea. I then threw on a pink undershirt and a high waist leopard/flower print skirt

Pinoy Todd Mall ~ 3 Avril 2011

The Filipino people were dominating the Todd Mall on Sunday with dance and food! It was more looking at the traditional and historical look at the Philippines rather than today - They had many traditional dances from all over! I really liked the dance from Pangasinan - they were dancing on a skinny bench! (sorry didn't get any vids of the dance - too busy biting my nails)

I loved all of the traditional outfits that the kids wore! You can just see all the variety of colors and styles all from a little group of islands!

Celine had some great rings on her fingers! I really like the cross o her finger - cuz if anyone messes with her, she's gonna hurt them and then everyone will know who it is. Because they have a cross mark dented into their face

I wore a mis-match outfit I must admit. I paired shorts with flats. A bright blue tank top under a white top that said "Look at me!" and arm warmers!

At least that ensured that no one else should have the same kind of get-up as me!

When I went out into town on Saturday night I must admit that I didn't take that many fashion pictures (I did take a lot they're just on fb). I like these earrings ~ they were worn by a friend of a friend. Small earrings are for work! And if you wanted to see the shoes from that night ~ just go to Shots Of Shoes!

I like this picture because it's so cute! Here's Sabrina at my house finishing off the dinner food with a hot chocolate and choc biscuit! She said she was cold and all I had in my wardrobe that was really warm was my bathrobe - I'm glad she wore it and was kept warm!

Alyce had groovy fan earrings on - if I got a clearer picture then you would've seen the groovy holes and engravings in the earring!

Don't worry I'm seriously thinking about getting a new camera!

What I wore to the Youth Hub Concert

Friday the 1st of Avril was the start date of Youth Week in Australia - a whole week of activities for 'young people'. I'm 19 and I feel real old. So I thought that if I dressed more simple than I might blend in. I wore a white and blue dress with elastic and a tie at my waist. I also threw on my sisters long vest over the outfit to give it more layers - and something to cover my shoulders.

I got a little fidgety at Chior practice and decided to do some hand art with the texters and pens I had available~ I honestly was thinking of cake decorations when I made this pattern.

I thought it would be ok to try out having my eye make-up match my outfit. I thought it was pretty good since I chose to do it boldly instead of half-way. I put deep blue eye liner around my eyes - mostly focusing on the bottom lid. I then grabbed the purple and blue eyeshadow and mixed them together and used that on my lid. I then swept over the top of my eye from the inner corner to the outer corner with some sea green eyeshadow.

My bangles were a major mix of a lot of what I have - I found this leather dragon arm band on ebay and had it on my arm next to some silver bangles (one of them with animal print casing). I like mixing very different bits and bobs together just to throw people off. I liked this combo because it depicts a good view of my style of music. I love the poppy songs that come up from Beyonce, Lady Gaga and Mutya, but I equally adore Disturbed, Ramstein and Abney Park. And do not get me started on all the artists and bands that I like from non-English speaking origins!

My other wrist looked more normal with the safe different sized bangles of similar colors. I like this because it make of lot of noise whenever I moved

DIY hole T Shirt

I went a little spaz during the week because I needed something new but relaxed in my wardrobe without spending any money.

How can you do that? I think I found the solution - Cutting up and old top to make it look better and more entertaining than having it as another sleepwear shirt.

I was lucky enough to have this old bf shirt that had the shirt 's front sewn on an angle~ It turned out to be pretty handy. I just measured 25cm down from the sewn slant on the shirt to create a triangle shape going across the shirt. You can do this just by getting out a long ruler and drawing out a long line across your shirt - but if you're going to draw on your shirt, please remember to turn the shirt inside out and use a pencil (so it might come out in the wash, and if it doesn't - it's not too obvious)

I sewed along my line that I drew on the shirt but now I think that it might have been an unnecessarry step. I then made bars/strips outlines with pencil (about 2cm wide) to help me aim later for when I cut into my shirt. And I did this all the way around the shirt.

Then you grab some scissors and cut a little hole on the line - that helps make it easier cutting out the lines for the shirt in the next step.

Now remember when you're cutting out your strips that you don't cut the overlocked section on the bottom of the shirt. If you do, the bottom of you shirt will look like tassles and might get caught - but if that's what you want, go for it!!

Once you've cut all the lines out of your shirt you're ready to wear it. I like it because it's still an oversized lazy shirt to wear, but you 'll look better because you're showing some tummy! How much tummy you want to show depends on the person of course (I enjoy my cake and ice cream too much hee hee)

Sunday I was the Gunner Girls wearing their groovy clothes! I like Melanie's combo because it looks so relaxed and easy to do~blue jeans with a big top that's tied up at the side. Ellen wore black shorts, back tank top with a dark green button up top over the whole outfit. Mrs Gunner wore a wavy green floral print dress with a white shawl over her shoulders. It's amazing how a shawl/scarf can add a bit of class to an outfit. Annabelle, even though one of the youngest, rocked out in a print top with a mini denim vest over it.

Here's me and my Nanay after mass. Nanay wore her long green dress, with my little gold 'vest'. It's great for her, how she can fit into my clothing. But I don't like it when my clothes somehow 'migrate' to her closet. I wore a grey top with sleeves, with a high waisted cream skirt.

Tita Tet wore a groovy floral print top with black leggings. I also really liked Tita Rose's outfit. She wore a print undershirt with a colorful maxi dress. And that dress looked great - I have not seen a mix of flowers with zebra print before!

Here are some of the girls that wore their Indian clothing to Church~ I really adore the colors that they wear, always rich and bright with sequins or jewelry.

On Wednesday I went to Maria's brithday and saw these great bracelets. I like that combo ~ one with heaps of pearls hanging from it contrasted with the other smooth and orderly bracelet right next to it.

I also saw this big ring on Leah~a big flower ring with sparkles. I like it because it reminds me of fairies. Seriously, the only thing with heaps of sparkles that I saw was back in year 4-7 when I read through the fairytale books and watched all the different versions of Peter Pan I could get my hands on!

Here's a pic of my eyes from my night out at Annies. I wanted to go a little wild so I used brown eye shadow for my eyelid. Then I blended in purple on the edge of my eye just for more color. I also added some green eyeshadow to my bottom eyelid acting as eyeliner~I also did the same on the outer lid just to give it some balance. It also happened that that day I was watching "Jungle to Jungle" and that's where I got the inspiration for the purple dots along my face. It's amazing from what you can get from a good old family movie huh?!?

Dancing at Annies

This is what I wore out on Friday night to Annies ~ Black skinny jeans, a red tank top and a pink, size 22 shirt from Kmart. I know it's REALLY big for me but my friend Nauvoo had an idea on how to make it look better.

Tie a knot in the back!

So that's what I did (with her help) and I gotta say that it really did look good! Check it out from the back!

Nauvoo! Such a good poser! She also wore black skinny jeans, her killer boots and a white top I found at Mixed Lollies a while ago. And please remember to check out the fb pictures!

I liked the white top because it had this fabric going off the shoulders adorned with black sequins! (I get excited when there's no shoulder pads involved!)

MinJung looked real sporty with her loose white print top, gym jacket and sneakers on her toes. She was out to dance last night. MinHee had the same idea as her sister (yes their sisters!)- comfortable clothes to dance in! A long, loose black top with jeans and a grey jacket (on the couch).

As I was getting ready at home I was having a hard time deciding how to have my hair for the evening. I threw it up in a high side ponytail at first. Then I put the ponytail on top of my head (in the picture above). I thought it looked to 'uptight' and since I will be dancing, it's going to come out.

So I tried letting half of my hair down with the rest on a small bun on my head.

Nauvoo and M.C. said it looked cute but it didn't seem right on my head for going out. I might try wearing my hair like this at the office, hee hee hee

Today I went into work with a black skirt, heels and a sea-farer inspired shirt. I just wore the same shirt that I wore to Catherine's lunch in Jan. I think it's ok mixing and matching as long as you don't do a repeat mix in a close space of time. (that's when people might notice)

I found this old bracelet in our garage in our sewing supplies! In all that fabric I found a little bracelet! This is what happens when you clean your home~you find random stuff that you didn't know existed, or you find stuff you were looking for 3 months ago!

Today, as I was getting ready for Bible studies - I had to figure out what to wear. I just came back from walking our energetic dog, hungry and thirsty - I kinda looked like a drunk guinea pig. I didn't care what I wore - just as long as I didn't smell too bad at the meeting.

I kept my exercise bottoms of tight 3/4 pants and sneakers. Then I found an old flannel shirt that they had on sale last year at the supermarket; it's the perfect thing! It's big, long, keeps me warm and totally bogan. It felt really good to throw on at the time, but now just hours after the meeting, I'm thinking that I should restrict this shirt's exposure to just the family members at home.

What to wear to an informal meeting

What do you wear to an informal meeting on a Monday night. I wanted to look different but still formal in a way for the Toastmasters Exec meeting. I threw on a pair of black pants and a funny yellow to in my drawer. I havn't really worn it before; the top is cut at an angle but is then finished with a skirt-like design to make the top even again. It was kinda cold and raining so I threw on a pair of arm warmers~a different but not to exposing outfit

Sat Night

On Saturday night Ellen and I made it into town (even though we were both knackerd). It's hard to look good when you're exhausted ~ but I think we did pretty good! Ellen wore a short spaghetti strap floral print dress. I wore a white dress that had layered sleeves with black trimming.

Earlier in the night Ellen had a black dress on that gathered in at the waist. I think her heavy duty worker glasses topped off the outfit.

Sabrina wore a blue denim-colored dress with a big bow in the front with cute flats! She also had the cute panda hanging with her~lucky monkey!

My eyes that night looked like this. I had normal brown eye shadow on my lid. I wanted green eyeliner bud didn't have any ~ but I had green eyes shadow! You just have to find a thin and flat brush and use it to apply the eye shadow to the rim of your eyes. You can save money by just getting eye shadow and skipping the eyeliner.

This is what I wore to trabajo today! I found an old pair of gray pants (that sill fitted me) and threw on a striped blue and white top. With just those two - I resembled a pirate. So I found an oversized button up top (with a matching belt) and threw it on. I only buttoned it up to where the belt sat - too much gloomy colors can make you feel gloomy too. I also cuffed the sleeves because they were way to long for my arms.

This is what I wore that evening~tight black pants and a could shoulder top from Supre. I put my hair up like I did at Church last week and it still looked alright!

I did my eyes a little more than usual tonight (I havn't done my eyes up in what feels like ages!). I wore purple eyeliner, used brown eyeliner on my inner eye and worked that to about the middle of my eye lid. Yeah, I went to the gym this morning and wore this. I thought it looked alright for the morning session-no one should be fully awake at that time with no coffee right? Still, I wore an old pair of blue shorts with a groovy stripy man shirt. I usually get guy shirts to sleep in because they are the perfect substitute pajamas. And I'm sure if you get the right kind of guy shirt, they can look good at the gym too!

Yesterday's Church

We had a great time trying to figure out what to wear to Church yesterday. She didn't want to loose her shorts so we had to work with making her top look more appropriate. I found this yellow sleeveless shirt in her clothes and thought that she could match it with her white throw-over.

I thought that the yellow top looked great, when she pulled out a more colorful print top. Now I think that was very good! More color the better~and it helped draw the eyes away from those old denim shorts.

Nanay then came in and crashed my room asking if she could borrow a shirt for mass tonight. I found my long oversized black and white shirt (which was more like a dress on me) and let her throw it over a pair of black leggings. Nanay thought it made her look to old and big-which it did. So she also grabbed one of my dark chunky belts and wore it to excentuate her waist.

I tried mucking around with my hair because I am tired of my hair being down; and it's way to hot to have it down. I first put it in a high side ponytail, grabbed about half of the hair on top (in the ponytail) and made a mini bun. It was a small bun with a long tail on my head. I think it looked adorable and cool (my opinion of course) so I kept it.

I am wearing my total floral jumpsuit - then I figured out that it was probably too informal for mass. So I chucked on my trench skirt over it and viola! Diana was at Church too and had a groovy 2 layer lace top on with great shoes.

Here is the choir just before mass - taking a quick breather so that we are ready for mass. Tita Jene wore a explosion of floral print dress to Church this evening. Tita tina had a less patterned dress on but still colorful. I must admit that I like Tita Tina's dress the most out of them

Yesterday at work and town

I went to work in this outfit yesterday! I tried to be more inventive today by wearing a 'base' of black pants, a white top with an old brown vest I got about 5 years ago. I also added a little jewelry - a choker necklace with a large green pendant hanging. My little sister helped me put the outfit together that morning (brain not functioning)

Later that day MC and I met up with Nauvoo. She had some killer boots, short splatter print top with an over sized sleeved top and her Spongbob hat! We had to go to Mixed Lollies to get her top to complete the outfit. MC was wearing a short grey dress with small sleeves - I think that when you have a short skirt/short (and you're bmi is slightly off) then flat shoes look more attractive than walking in heels.

While at Mixed lollies I also got this big new bracelet! I love it!

I was just going to choir practice and I decided to show off the shirt I made~ Just looking real relaxed with my sehr old 3/4 pants

Screen Printing

Last night I went to a screen printing class with the Red Hot Arts Center ~ and it was heaps of fun. I really liked how the folks there came up with their designs for their shirt. This is my design to throw on my shirt-just a face of a girl.

This was a great intricate design that has the text 'seed'. I think that it's cute because it has a shape of a seed/waterdrop with roots and the signs of a growing plant from the top. It's great artwork to put on a shirt - and she made two of them! It's going to be a great couple shirt.

This was such a cute creation of a cat! Big eyes, ears and whiskers with a long tail make it so adoreable! I love cartoons that are out of proportion - they make them seem less harmful. Like I'm terrified of spiders, but when I see a big cartoon of one, I'm fine with it. I almost cried out of fear when I saw the trailer for 8 legged freaks. (yeah I'm weak)

This design was supposed to go with the cartoon cat following behind it! I think that it would've been fine by itself in a repetitive pattern on a part of the shirt! Maybe if the pattern was just on the hem all around the shirt, or just on the sleeves - I recon it would look good

Ok, here's also a little method of how to make your own screen printed shirt. (And its much better than the iron on - it stays on longer!). You first make your image like a stencil. I went for using the lines that made up my image to be where the color will go onto my shirt. You just have to remember that as a stencil - everything needs to connect so that the image will hold up while it's getting printed (but I think you'll be fine because the paper will be squished down)

Then you slice out your stencil image - Remember to use a cutting board and a sharp knife to cut it out! With a design like mine it did take a while to try to cut out.

What you do now is find yourself a shirt and pop a board inside it. Set up the shirt so that the part which you want to print is facing up towards you. The board is there to provide a good base and to prevent any excess ink bleeding into the back of the shirt.

This is where you'll need some equipment. You'll need a screen to make this work (in this Screen printing article it'll tell you how to make a screen at home). You place your stencil image onto the shirt and then lay the screen over your stencil. You get some fabric paint and 'blob' it on one end of the stencil. You can mix the paint to create a cool color mix (shown above).

You then grab a 'squidgy' - a piece of flat something (wood, plastic, rubber etc.) to evenly spread the paint along the pattern to the other end of the screen.

Then you hold your squidgey at a high angle and press the paint with even pressure all the way to the other end of the screen (didn't I just say this before?)

And you just do it again - just the other way

Then life up the screen, then the stencil image (if it didn't stick to the screen) and let your shirt paint dry out. Then you have to follow the instructions on the pot of fabric paint you got - I left that bit up to the teacher. But he said you can do it with a real hot industrial dryer!

From all that work you get a top that noone else will have and you can show your creativity on a regular basis!

Sunday Multicultural Mass - India!

Last Sunday's Mass (27 Feb 2011) was a multi cultural mass! The Indian's held the mass and I really wanted to see what everyone was wearing! A lot of the ladies were wearing Sari's and Churidar's that looked exceedingly graceful.

I wore this out to the Business at Sunset last night. A white top with thin cotton is great in hot weather but you can see right through it! I thought it was ok not to wear an undershirt this time because my bra seemed to compliment the whole outfit. The bra was mainly white with a black lace trim ~ my Nanay even said it was ok. The only thing she asked me to do was to add leggings underneath my skirt. She thought it was too short. I also had some nice high heels from Ellen and I put my hair up in a very kiddy way - half my hair up and on top of my head.

Last night I headed over to the PIIX Group meeting and saw this cozy handbag. I remember the lady telling me where she got it from but I have totally forgotten it! I just thought it looked cozy because of the deep brown and white colors used. And the cats~they made the bag! And look at the awesome wooden key-ring that came with the bag!

Now moving on to Sabrina's Birthday get-together. I looked at what bling the boys were wearing.

Leather. They have leather bracelets, even made into little braids for bracelets. And I like the rings on the thumbs~cuz my rings don't fit on my thumb

And this was the pinnacle of Sabrina's birthday! The girls brought out a goofy goober! And Sabrina couldn't finish it - so we all had to help! YAY

Here's a little look at what we wore at Toastmasters last night! I'm standing with Jose and Mien ~ both slightly older than me (ok ok they both have grandkids at this moment in time). I thought that it would be great to see what they're wearing. Both ladies had oversized shirts with sleeves going past their elbows. Both wearing pants in this warm weather! I recon that they wear clothes more for comfort than style but still keeping it casual.

I borrowed my sister's white print maxi dress tonight with a blue undershirt.

Justin our awesome toastmaster also carried a groovy bag. I found out that he grabbed it on his recent trip to Nepal ~ it looked read sturdy and snappy

Church on the weekend

Church this Sunday was another fun and yum one! Look at all of us here after the mass! Tita Jene had made a little suggestion that the choir should wear red clothes to Church today! That way we can all see who's part of the choir!

Olivia and Diana were so dressed up for Church! I really liked Olivia's black butterfly sleeved shirt - I like them because it helps make the person float instead of walking. Diana looks, in my vernacular, is relaxed smart. She's got a short sleeved button up shirt, that is tied up! That looks awesome with her white skirt! When I try to mix and match I somehow end up looking like I'm ready to go trick-or-treating!

Lizbeth wore a great blue animal print with a black shirt underneath - not to be too showy at church. I wore black shorts with a red cheongsam shirt.

Here we are cleaning up and I had to get a picture of Tita Jene's necklace - you might not be able to see it in this small pic but it was adorable! It was so adorable and so quaint ~Long necklace with a pumpkin carriage, much resembling another carriage I saw in a Disney Movie.

In my last blog post I wrote an overall of what I wore - and here's the details. It was a kind of Pokemon themed get-together (to which I was the only one who attempted to go with the theme at the start). I got a little inspired by some eye make-up from Kpop entertainers

And Thunder from MBLAQ inspired my left eye make-up

I tried to think about ways to give myself ears - without a hair band. A hair band would get drenched in the pool. I was fixed on thinking about Pikachu for some kind of inspiration. Then I remember my sister having a a hair style from Minzy (pictured below) in a music video. I imitated that look to create the illusion of floppy ears on my head~more Pokemon-like!

Goodbye ~ Friends going to Uni

Print on the front is very normal and makes the print on the bum obsolete ~ These board shorts did the opposite and my eyes were glued there for a bit

This is what I wore ~ blue striped sleeved shirt, an orange throw over from Supre and short board shorts. I also found a permanent marker and had my sister help write out Pokemon on my arm~it was a tribute to our friends' love, and mine, for Pokemon.

I also just put an eye on my palm to see what people's reaction might be to it -confused was the main reaction I received.

Nails today!

Nails ~ when they are well kept, they seem to show a sign of sophistication. Why not do them at home then? I went a little crazy and painted each finger a different color. The pastel-like colors are in style now but I do find that they are very tedious to work with on my nails - my natural nail color is seen through (looks tacky and a bad nail job). So I just painted each nail a different color - and it seems to work

When I went into town on Tuesday, I was really exhausted. I couldn't think about what to wear so I did to color - matching to help me feel better. I matched a white jacket that is now too small for me with some white shorts. I threw on the dark blue tank top for some variation. But I still thought that the outfit was lacking something. So I added a big accessory - they usually liven an outfit up!

Look at us gals at the youth gathering yesterday! Diana looked uber cute with shorts, a loose spaghetti strap top and a big throw over! Maria had a cute ruffle polka dot dress on! and We had to stop Caterina from moving to take a pics of her neat cuffed button up gray shirt.

Mel had a cute loose butterfly sleeve top with tight jeans~ Practical and great for running round!

MC and I went and wore something I call 'couple tops' - She had a black top with a whale and text saying: "I'm beached as bro". While I wore a white top with a pelican and text saying: "wanna chup bro?"

And I added my name tag to my forehead - I liked it cuz no one else wore their name tag like I did!

Year of the Rabbit

Today is the lunar New Year! And the year of the rabbit! I had to celebrate by wearing my only Cheongsam. I wore it to work today and it seems that no one was surprised.

I love getting red envelopes!

My little sister went out in this outfit. I really love her top-she got it from Jayjay's and it has a chain that has a button of Jack Skelington! I think that it went well with her shorts, red bag and her blue throw-over vest. It worked well and added more color to the black and pale pants.

I also got a shot of what my Nanay wears when she's going out grocery shopping. She always wears something comfortable - meaning that it's not always her good clothing and the mix of clothes she puts together for shopping can be quite amusing. Today she did a good job - mixing a picasso print dress with a white undershirt looked good! The dress was a little out of her age range - hence why I adore the white shirt!

I took my first shot of the day using the family's old camera where the shutter won't open fully. I think it's a quite a good trait~you can get the funniest pics out of them. In the above image you can see that I wore shell earrings. I also wore a chopstick with a hair chopstick in my bun-I saw that it was the Chinese New Year on Thursday. I wonder what you're going to wear on Thursday this year?

Yes a silly face today. I wore a very flowy top over a blue undershirt and black pants today. I ran into Cristina and Jamie today and they said I looked like I was pregnant with the blue top on. Therefore I might have to incinerate this shirt or do something else similar to it.

I headed to our local Asian Food Store in town and saw the adorable phone charms hanging! I had to get one! I chose the little brown bear with a scarf because I do have a weakness for small cute hugable toys. Then I remembered that I do have a younger sister who might get jealous, therefore I bought the blue and brown phone charm for her (I don't know what kind of animal that is)

They were also selling these little moon cakes at the store! I remember them being sold last year around a moon festival. I love the strawberry cream flavor the most because it has crunchy bits and a sweet jam centre.

I think it's a good addition to my Hawaiian phone charm! I want to see how many phone charms I can hang off my phone! Hee hee hee

This is what I wore to Church this evening! I found one of my old crazy color print skirts and decided to get it out of the closet. I wore a plain yellow top to not be too loud in my outfit (the skirt did that). I also wore a green bracelet and a green lolly necklace ~colorful no?

I was in a particularly good mood and decided to do up my eyes. I put purple eyeliner on my bottom eyelid. I then added green eyshadow just on my eyelid. I then brushed a cream-colored eye shadow sweeping from my inner eye out and up to my brow. I used my finger to smudge the green and cream together. I then used a thin brush to apply purple eyeshadow to the outer rim of my eye - just to add a small 'cats eye' look to my face.

Last night there was a concert at the Casino as a fundraiser for the QLD floods! What a great idea! Hang out with friends, have a show, get food and you're helping people! I had to take some pics of what people wore - Diana was here in a floral mini that had ruffles as trimming. I think that adding the unbuttoned white spotted top was a wise addition to her outfit. Ngan wore the weather-appropriate dress. Short shorts that were torn at the hem~I'm seeing a pattern that the cuffing-of-almost-everything is leaving! And she had a neat sleeved shirt - and she got it right. I do admit that I wear the wrong sleeved shirt, and that is mainly because they consist of old work uniforms, free from sporting events or they were bought by my Nanay. Ngan blows my sleeved shirt collection out of the water!

This was a great example of a stunning Little Black Dress~the ruffles on the one shoulder cascading down to the waist is a beautiful addition and a certain eye-catcher!

While in Maccas I decided to muck around with my long earrings and stick them to my face. I thought that it looked cool!

Here I am wearing a pink shirt with the opening in the back with blue shorts. I had my hair in a low ponytail with a cap. Val was wearing a gorgeous red colorful kaleidescope top that I couldn't really take my eyes off of.

Piwi and Bianca also came to the concert.Bianca on the right wore a pretty print black and white dress while Piwi wore a ruffled dress with tiny flower print all over.

Today ~ Jessica!

Today as I was doing errands with the family and saw Jess in the street! Look at what she was wearing! This was my highlight of the day ~ seeing her creative and awesome clothing walking down the street! A black corset, tight pants and EPIC platform boots with laces done up the front! I like her use of black - seriously, not many people can look good wearing all black. The color in my opinion, is not important - if you look closely to what she wore, it gives a much better impression and shows how much she cares about detail.

I think that her umbrella topped the whole outfit off! I have only seen 2 other people in town with umbrellas to cover themselves from the sun. Umbrella's are good! They're not the fashion rage but there are good reasons to have them in the summer - An umbrella helps protect your skin from the sun, and in Jessica's case it can help make you look real elegant.

Now I want to have an umbrella and look cool like her!

Hangin today

Today Mc and I decided to have a good dinner at Maccas with some of our friends from Korea! So when you go to maccas, you don't need to dress up, just get comfortable. Mc got up in her grey leopard print top with a flare black skirt - that whole outfit made her look so cute!

Judy had shorts and a cute sleeved top with 3 colors on it; Pink, gray and white. Minhee wore the most clothes out of us! She had 3/4 pants, a green tank top with a light yellow print top with a zip in the back. It is ridiculously scorching here and too look great while melting is a daily challenge. I find it almost silly wearing clothes in this extreme heat - 43°C / 92°F.

I wore blue shorts and a gym-looking inspired top from supre with a *all the ice cream is gone!* expression on my face. Everyone wore relaxed and cool (appropriate for the weather) outfits but still looked great!

Saturday night was the night to go out! I bumped into Tina, Dwayne and Karina at the casino and man they looked good! Tina had on a ballerina inspired dress with a bright green belt. I thought that that belt was the highlight of the outfit because it is a sudden plash of color that draws your eyes to look more at the puffy skirt with the soft layers. Dwayne had a neatly ironed black shirt with gray/black knee-length jeans. Karina wore a Little Black Dress, with a beautiful ocean blue belt. I really love the sleeves on her dress because I love the Greek inspired cold shoulder that's back in fashion (finally)! And if you want to see more pics of that night, look on fb.

Here is a lovely gal that I met last night: Valériane. She's from France and is leaving next weekend! She had to come out with us to experience Alice Springs more! She wore relaxed and casual clothes - Shorts, yellow top with a shorted gray one over the top. She was really showing off her skating skills by skating on one leg and texting while on the ice.

Hollie had a bright purple pattern top on with neatly pressed black pants. I think Hollie always has the right idea of dressing; She almost looked to neat to go out~but she carried her clothes well the whole night! She always wears clothes that shows she respects herself and exuberates this with wonderful confidence. I recon it's worth hanging round her to learn how she does it! She's also a member of Toastmasters which I'm sure she works on improving her confidence skills in everything!

I wore these earrings out last night. They looked really cute with the different shaped dangles and made a pleasant jingle as I walked. They had one downside - heavy and when you're dancing, you do have a scared feeling that your earrings will go flying off and you will go home with one earring.

Car wash fund raiser for QLD floods

Today in Alice Springs, some good hearted gals and boys get together to have a bikini car wash to support the flood victims in QLD! Dad and I went down to support them of course, and we donated some money. I think that they made lots of money because the line was massive to get your car washed! I wanted the boys to clean my car but I had errands to do and couldn't wait in the line.

The boys were in charge of polishing the cars as the gals finished washing. I'm so glad that there were guys who helped out with the car wash; But they opted not to wear the bikini attire (smart move).

I stopped Ethan from working by taking a picture with him! He was a part of the official car-washer-watchers group of men - Hee hee! The three gals did a lot of the work - and had heaps of fun doing it! A hot day with water and cars - that's a good weekend no?

I made a Jabot!

I went searching on the internet to see if there were any really-easy-to-follow-instructions for some fashion accessories. I came across an article on how to make a Victorian Jabot! The article was from 'What the craft' and it was so easy to do; So I decided to make one myself!

I had some felt at home and green lace and therefore I was going to make a green jabot. I laid it all out just to see what it might look like at the end.

I changed my mind just to stick with the lace with the two colors - because I ran out of the other green lace. But you can change your mind right?

I did what it said in the instructions to sew the lace to a small round piece of fabric and then tried decorating it. It didn't look good - I think that was mainly attributed to my not-so-good sewing skills.

So, I cut out a bigger piece of fabric that resembles the shape of a flower. So I mucked round a little with what scraps were around the house to make the center piece for the jabot. I found a red bow from Christmas and some lace that had some red fabric holding it together.I also found a small black piece of appliqué that comes with pieces of clothing as spares just in case some appliqué falls off - I sewed that onto the bow. Then kept on sewing the spare bits onto the green felt to create this:

Now that the center piece was done, all I did was attach it to the lace part and cest fini!

I used the machine to attach the two parts together and this was done by just sewing without a foot on the machine

Ellen had her special black top all decked out with lace and little sleeves. She said that she felt real bad for being in a rush and coming to Church in shorts. I recon that it was alright because, she came. Sure some people don't look their best when they come to Church, but they still come and that's what counts right?

Nails on the weekend

I have decided to experiment at home how I can make my nails look pretty. I never really used to look after them, but now seeing all the colors you can have, all different designs; I decided to do a little DIY. I thought about doing French nails, but it seems that everyone has them. So instead of having a pale white/peach tips of the nails, I used bright colors. Out of the red and blue I prefer the blue.

I also tried working with the brush to put paw prints on my nails with a bright orange background. It looked real cute - only I ruined it by doing the dished right after, and a little too soon...

Gabbie has these stunning eye contacts that just couldn't make me not look at her. They're defiantly 'eye-catching' and it's so easy to do! Just remember that with those kind of contacts you have to blink more often - but if it looks good, who cares?

A cute blue clutch with leopard print - animal print is on everything! I'm just waiting for someone to paint leopard print on a house and boat...

Ellen fashioned herself a pretty paper dress over her other outfit of the night. Very inventive and you're recycling paper by wearing it!

I got a little carried away with wearing whatever accessories were around the house, and see if they'd look good.

But I think Philzo had to be the one who topped us all in accessories- Epic fluffy blue 'pimp' hat! Who can top something like that other than Philzo? And I'm really glad that he went home with the hat and no one tried to take the hat - because it belonged to Philzo!

I also had to put in these cards. I've never seen cards like those before! Seeing these cards was one of my highlights of the night.

Catherine had a sumptuous lunch on Saturday - there was sooo much food! Aside from that all the girls looked good! Mind you, all I did take pictures of was the girls! I wore a sailor-inspired top. It had stripes, buttons on the shoulder with a badge over a pocket with boats and rope embroided onto it. I also wore shorts and sunnies because I biked to this lunch - very hot and quick ride to the house.

All the other gals looked great! Maria had some shorts on (she was biking earlier on too!) with a loose stripe top and a longer undershirt. Lizbeth and Hollie had dresses on but different color scheme. Lizbeth had a floral dress with pastel colors while Hollie had the bold black and white dress. Catherine wore a floral jumpsuit while rocking her catering skills. I must admit that the jumpsuit looks good hanging off her loosely, it gives off a more relaxed feel to the whole party when the host is just chillin.

Ice skating is so much fun and a treat for us desert folk! The Ice Rink was back in the Alice and so M.C. and I gathered some friends and went skating! M.C. wore neat gray leggings with a loose purple top. The scarf I got while I was in Sydney and I was wearing the exact same one in gray! That was to make sure people really knew we were sisters! These headphones were rocking the dinner table while we were eating-they just stole the spotlight of the food. But I didn't eat them...

Leah's face got covered with the phone, but I don't care cuz I liked her top! I like the stripes and the patterns covering her shirt! It was soo cute and almost acted like a dress!

Here's what I wore on Friday evening; 3/4 pants with a loose fitting could-shoulder top - with the sister scarf on! I wasn't really a fan of wearing scarves in the summer~Come on! We live in the desert and we don't want excess clothing to trap the heat. It was freezing inside the convention center, but the scarf just ended up being a fashion accessory.

Today at Church it was hot and sticky, but that didn't mean people didn't dress up! Look at all the color around! I really loved the one-piece red shirt dress and Joie-Anne's white lace print top. I know we got a head shot of everyone but you can see some shoes at the shoe blog.

Here's Caterina and I. Caterina kept everything simple and had a black top with blue jeans. I had a floral jumpsuit on and just popped an old flare skirt to be more conservative at Church.

Happy New year everyone! It's now 2011 and everyone's recovering from a big night last night! I'm all ready for the new year so here's pics form my New Years. These boys I don't think I'll figure out until they tag themselves on Facebook. They wore unconventional New Years attire but they did put a lot of effort into what they wore which I think was very commendable. I feel bad for them because it must've been swealtering in their suits

Here's me and Chee. Sunnies and tie makes the whole thing come together. I had some long but light earrings on that I found at a second-hand shop in Glenelg while on holiday. Very elegant and, it's helping the environment by not throwing it in a dump!

These gals were stunning as usual! Kate (left) had a great strapless mini on. The vertical color design helped to direct they eyes to the right spot! Molly (middle) kept it casual with shorts and a spunky top and cardigan. I also liked how she did her hair to volumize up and hug her face-I want to know how to do that. I love Katie's (right) style-all rocker! Black tights, black mini black hat and she carries it amazingly well!

Georgie and Ellen came in short dresses too! Georgie had a floral dress with fluttery layers at the hem and a bow at the back. Ellen had a short lace dress on with flats!

Hannah wore a silver strapless mini that hugged her torso - very nice! Brody wore a red print shirt with jeans and a smile. That's really all anyone needs to wear on a daily basis. And Tina's making herself a drink in the background!

Here I am in the red halter neck Supre dress- sexy but not too sexy, because the dress finished at my knees. Alicia came out elegantly with her blue flare dress with black lace along the hem of the dress. How many dresses do you see these days do that? She topped it all off with a black wrap tied up at the front with her hair down. Tina (right) had a great outfit at the start of the night then changed on me! Shorts, top and a cool loose vest-didn't get a chance to take a picture. This is her second outfit of the night-a white dress with small flowers and a purple belt with a quaint silver necklace.

Here are some great colorful outfits! I love the loose top with a tight bottom look. I love the song by Sir Mix a Lot. The gal on the left was wearing these stunning chandelier earrings! You know you have good jewelry when it catches people's eyes before your outfit. The gal on the right wore a bright red cuffed top with a mini skirt. I think it was a good decision on both their parts to down play the bottoms to let the top do the talking.

Here is the earring that she was wearing! I borrowed it for a little bit just to try it out!

And we can't forget all they boys that came to the party! A lot of them wore a clean print shirt with jeans - easy and it looks good!

But this is New Years and getting a clean picture of the boys is a challenge

First off, I want everyone to have A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS! This year, our family has done something a little different for Christmas. We're holidaying out in Adelaide, South Australia! We decided to travel on Christmas Eve from Canberra to Adelaide and we chilled at the airport for about 3 hours. Exciting I know. But the one thing that kept me happy at the terminal was these comfy seats. All wood, low tot he ground and had a big enough space for me to put my bum on!

As I was exploring the airport shops, I saw this little sharpener on the shelf. There was 2 of them in a packet and small-very cute! They come with their own container that catches all the shavings, and a small lid near the mouth of the sharpener to avoid any tiny bits falling out! So all the shavings ahve a very slim chance of escaping and dancing on the floor of a handbag.

Christmas is now upon us! I decided to go nuts on my eyes. GREEN like a tree was my first thought, plus it was one of the only real bold Christmasy colors I had brought. I went with black eyeliner on my bottom mid, mixed green and gray eyeshadow on my top eyelid, and I had some normal bright green spill over onto the inner and outers of my eye for a more bold look.

And yes, so far I'm having a great Christmas!

Holidays - What I wear!

Whenever I go on holidays, I always want to be really comfy-because travelling can really take it out of you! On our flight out of Alice I wore a pair of shorts, a big man shirt and a hat-to make it look a little better.

As we got to Canberra, wearing that hat all day made my head itchy. But when I took off my hat I had hat hair! I quickly grabbed a hair tie and the issue was solved!

The next day on the ground exploring Canberra, I used my small wardrobe selection and got my 'dress shirt', black skinny jeans and my sneakers. I only brought my sneakers, so this gives me a great excuse to go buy more shoes right? If you look closely at my eyes, you can see me wearing bright green eye shadow in celebration of the Christmas season!

I also thought that I'd go a little funny on my make up. Here I had brow eye shadow and purple eye shadow working as a liner for me! It sure gets you eyes noticed!

Angela was kind enough to invite me to her work Christmas party! Even though I didn't really know anyone there I still had a lot of fun! Angela went all-out gung-ho for the event wearing a Santa hat, red top, tinsel skirt with bells on her belt. I thought that was cool because she got to jingle everywhere she went! Nauvoo was in the green strapless dress with those killer red hells on!

I want to just focus on my eye-makeup skills. There not that pro but I found out that if you just be patient-it'll all work out! I dusted some bright green eye shadow onto my eyelids and brushed some on the bottom lid to imitation eye-liner. I was surprised by how nice just the one eye shadow can look!

This I thought was an epic Secret Santa gift; A box of ridiculously tasty crunchy nut.

Caitlin's back! Yes and a bunch of us came out to welcome her home! I adore what she wore that evening. Long blonde extensions in her hair, on a canvas of a tight black mini dress and a big red bow in the front!

Sabrina came out in a colorful strapless mini and Ellen had a black mini on with pockets. All of the other gals were also dressed up in heels, dresses and work clothes. But the pics I have of them were after a few drinks-you can see them all here.

This is what I wore today! I decided to be a little more office-like today! decided to venture out to see how an outfit like this might work in an office environment. I think it would work out alright, bright yellow dress at the knees and an old brown button up vest.The only problem with office wear for me is that it always has to be pastel inspired colors~not exciting really. Maybe that's why some of these business people seem so upset-no color!

When I was shopping at Priceline, a lady went by and said that she loved me shoes! Oh! That made me feel so great! Isn't it good when people compliment you on something you're wearing? I gotta find out if there's a worldwide compliment people day!

My little sister is in the middle of her intensive studies - A whole week where she gets trained in a certain profession. She chose hairdressing! I am absolutely horrid at doing anything with my hair - usually ponytail, down or covered with a hat. So my sister was nice enough to do something different with my hair! Her bun is good because she's got more hair than me and it's thick - that's bun material. She said my hair was thinner and that she could just make a bun with my hair - pictured below. I think buns are a great way to fix your hair, especial if you haven't washed it. And easy but sexy fix to your uncooperative hair.

After Young guns, I had a shot at doing my nails by myself~only 1 and 1/2 coats of nail polish with a finish looks pretty good to me.

While on the dance floor I saw my friends MinHee and MinJong. I really love MinHee's dress- zebra print and black while MinJong wore the white dress with massive flowers on it topped with a gray, short-sleeved jacket

Winwin and Ribbon also joined in the dancing~both wearing min dresses and belts. Winwin looked great in her small flower print dress with the striped belt. Ribbon wore a sausey red belt against her black mini.

Cat and Sabrina had exchanged their racing dresses to party wear! I adore Cat's lace sleeved dress. All black and showed off her legs well. I think the paired it up nicely with her white sandals and studded black clutch. Sabrina had a sleeveless flower print mini on; showing off her slender frame. I like it how she kept the races theme in the night by having a purple fascinator on.

Another Young Guns was happening this Saturday! The weather was hot, plenty of drinks and everybody dressed up! I had some bright dangle yellow earrings~attached were some beads on chains, coins, necklace bits and another loop.

Olvia wore a strapless maxi dress with great colorful print all over it! All topped off with her big red fascinator. Lindal had a beautiful bright yellow dress finishing above the knee! I love the color yellow-it's happy and bright (matching her personality)! No more boring color bits!

Here were some of the Saint's crew that I used to go to school with! Alyce had a great spaghetti strap cream dress with her hair all curled! I like it when people have curly hair, its more bouncy. Sabrina wore a tight black mini and feathery fascinator. Cat all the way in the back (hee hee rhymes) had a beautiful floral print dress with a purple fascinator.

Cameron and Caitlin came together to the races. Cameron wore a neat pale shirt and a gray tie so as to let Caitlin look way better than him. I love the way Caitlin's dress moved-you can't see it in this picture but it was slightly gathered and puffed closer to the hem to create a more gown effect to a great cocktail dress.

Rowie had a great black mini with plenty of straps to hold up her dress adding a great effect to the whole outfit. And she also had a great accessory- her bf Keilan. He was smartly dressed with pressed pants, a light pastel blue shirt with a while tie.

Hayley, Amy and Nicole all looked stunning. Hayley wore a colorful ruffled shirt with a high black waist skirt. Amy had a little black dress with bright purple, blue and yellow splashes of color. I really love Nicole's bright blue dress from Mixed Lollies. The sleeves were what caught my eye. I'm a little tired of the shoulder pads that are in style, weren't they an 80's thing?

Nauvoo wore a pretty purple dress with eye shadow that matched! I remember seeing Beyonce having matching eye shadow to her green dress and loved it. Now I'm finally seeing it in good practice! Go Nauvoo!

Today was a little busy for me ~ This morning I got my hair done at head lines for a little trim and color. So I threw on a pink shirt with LOVE on it, a high waist skirt with print on it and some flat shoes. I thought it was going to be a while, and it was; 3 hours!

I don't usually change my hair color but I thought it was time for a change; Blonde. Not all over, just a little bit but blonde on the bottom.

When I went to the Young Guns races, I was so frustrated because I didn't know what to wear! Some other dresses I had were way to formal! SO i re-used a dress~remember the Masquerade Ball?

Nanay and Dad's 20th Wedding anniversary! ~19 Nov 2010

Last night my parents had a party celebrating 20 years of marriage! Here they are; Dad wore the usual beach shirt with his favorite shorts. Nanay wore a blue print dress with an even blue-er under shirt.

MC and I had to help out Nanay the whole night so we dressed so that we were prepared for almost anything. I had a nice black top on; little shoulder pads and plenty of circular sequins stuck on to the front. And some board shorts- all black so if any food or dirt got onto it, you couldn't see it that easily. MC wore a dress that Nanay got her while we were in Sydney; a floral print dress with fabric that flows and bounce when MC walked round the place-Everyone else seems to love it, but I don't think it is that flattering for my little sister

Nauvoo came for a little bit and what a statement she made! Came in with a black lace shirt, leather corset and a black mini skirt! And to make it sexier; a murderous pair of RED HEELS!

The rest of the guests were having a relaxing time at the table! They all dressed nicely for the dinner! I really love Sammy's outfit because he had a loose white top with big blue overalls with a red cap!

This morning I was invited by my dad to attend a Business breakfast at the Convention Center in Alice Springs. I woke up really early this morning because they rain was crazy at 2am! So I had plenty of time to figure out what to wear. Dad's photography is not the best, so I will do my best describing what I was wearing! I had the little black dress that I wore on Halloween, a white scarf and my favorite black winter boots. I'm also with Vanessa wearing groovy business attire, black top with puffy ruffled sleeves and gray trousers. Olivia from Westpac had the uniform on with a pencil skirt. I must admit, that when I was in school, wearing a uniform correctly wasn't cool. If you did wear the uniform right, then you were weird. Now that I'm out of school, I see that uniforms, when worn neatly and correctly look very posh. Pencil skirts can also look very attractive and professional.

Toastmasters is so much fun! It is fun to me because it gives me a good challenge with friendly people! Last week at Toastmasters, Jose mentioned that everyone used to dress up for Toastmasters meetings. And I must admit, on a Monday night, right after work, I don't feel like getting dressed up. So this meeting I tried making an effort. In 5 minutes, I grabbed an old blue, black and white print k-mart dress that I have worn many times before. My favorite winter boots this year from Betts. And an old jacket that I had from my time in the UK. For a limited amount of time, the outfit looked good. I am a big fan of mixing and matching tops and bottoms so that I don't have to go shopping that often~I love it!

Getting back form holiday on Saturday was fun~but it didn't prepare me for the busy day on Sunday!

My dad was on the yellow West Lakers team! So, naturally, as a supporter we had to wear yellow! To see all the pictures that I took you can see them on Facebook.

As the game began, all us girls started making lots of noise!

Straight after basketball, the family headed home, quickly got ready and went to Tita Rose's house to watch the Manny Paquiao fight against Antonio Margarito! I remember getting tired of seeing all the little pre-fight boxing and fell asleep on the ouch waiting for the main event. I gotta tell you, I love Nelly to bits. But when he started singing before the match to kill time, I really detested him. All that was going through my mind was "Get him off the stage! I wanna see the fight!". I think Nelly fans might have turned their back on him for a little bit-like myself. When you see the two competitors against each other, Margaritoi towered over Manny, Dad said that it was just a bigger target for Manny to aim for-it turned out to be true. It was an engagingly brutal fight! I gotta give Margarito credit for swinging some punches to Manny-some of Manny's other opponents back away after some smacks form Manny. I remember seeing in the 4th or 5th round, Margarito had his guards up, Manny seeing that he wasn't probably going to swing, gave him 4 swift punches to the face right between Margarito's guards. Two jabs with the left, one with the right and finishing with the left again. Ouch! I yelped out loud. Gracielle next to me then said: "What side are you on girl?". Yes, that was good scoring for Manny but, I feel so bad for Margarito getting 4 smacks to the face!

Nearing the end of the match, we could all see who was going to be the victor of the evening, Margarito was tired and beat up bad. I think it was good that Manny didn't pulverize him in the last 2 rounds. At the end of the match when Manny was getting interviewed; he said something that was great to hear. The question was about stopping the match earlier and Manny's reply was "Boxing isn't for killing". That was cool. Most people become legends after they're dead, but Manny is a living legend here! I see him as a humble guys- Did anyone see him pray before and after the match? Did anyone see him make the sign of the cross before every round? I think he's a great guy who does respect others, even his opponents.

We had to have food! It's a Pinoy thing!

Then at church, I got called up to lead the congregation! I got about 3 min notice prior to the mass beginning~I was freaking out. No real look at what I had to read and my moth got real dry causing me to shake a little. I don't get butterflies anymore; instead I mess up my words by slurring and stuttering and then having shaky hands. But it was okay since I had some gals looking out for me! Caterina had a casual gray top with blue jeans. Angela had a bright green top, very similar color to Catherine's blue-I don't know if I'm categorizing these colors correctly. I wore the yellow top that I had on all day, I just swapped the blue ruffled mini skirt for a high waisted cream one with a nice bow on the front.

Toastmasters Meeting~ 1 Nov 2010

Toastmasters had a meeting on Monday the 1st of November, and the theme was Melbourne Cup which was to be held on the next day! I was still not over the Halloween theme (It was just YESTERDAY!). I found a black maxi dress and wore my cape for Halloween over it! I think it was a good idea and no one else wore the same outfit as me! Now, my dad, I don't know what he was wearing, and there was no way of convincing him to change before we left. He though he looked good in that~I disagreed; I thought he looked comical. Honestly look at it! Bland tan pants, a orange polo shirt, black vest, a loud print tie topped off with a Crocodile Dundee tourist hat. Doesn't that look funny to you? (My outfit is not funny it is cool!)

Here I am with Justin and Teadora! Justin dressed up according to the Melbourne Cup theme; formal with fashion. Everything ironed and clean; even his tie was to the correct length to cover all his buttons! Teadora cam whipping in from work but still looked great in her work gear! Black pants, shimmery striped button-up top with a black jumper to match the pants!

Here is the glove I wore on my left hand for the whole day. I remember getting this pair of gloves at Primark in Leeds. I lost the right glove somewhere, along with the button on the left one that held the mitten back. So, I used 3 pins to hold the mitten part of the glove back. I was surprised to see how well it looked on my glove for a little Halloween accessory! So, if you have an odd glove round the house, I recon you can jazz it up by adding, pins, buttons or anything else that's laying around unused to make it more interesting!

Halloween was now upon us! I was frantically trying to decorate the home with what I had and I went out to get more lollies! Ellen and I biked into town and then hung out at Steven's place and saw this EPIC bike! Remember Ke$ha's bike from Tick Tock?

Pretty awesome bike no?

I wore two outfits on Halloween; day and night. My day outfit I wore little animal print ear headband, matching top, my old school kilt and leggings all topped off with some black boots!

I also had heaps of fun tearing apart Ellen's wardrobe for more funny items of clothing! hee hee hee

That evening I got out my cape! I am so proud of it because I made it YEAH! I just switched my day top and skirt for a black lace mini dress!

A lot of people were at Tita Cecile's Halloween party! Many of the pinoy ladies wore the witches hat and cape with dark outfits underneath! Rosemay wore a cheongsam, a good different tough and some life to all the scary costumes walking around!

The pinoy boys remained chill in their choice of outfits. Relaxed clothes but had the hats, wigs and mask to keep with the Halloween theme!

These guys I think came from the husband's guests~I can see that there is a Thing 1 and Thing 2. While the guy on the far left looked like an adventure man. Crocodile Dundee maybe?

We went by Danni's house where she was giving out candy to kids and also had to see how latex felt on Steven's face. Steven had some liquid latex and spent about an hour putting it on to create a I-just-got-run-over-on-my-face-only look. But it was much more gruesome when I saw him take the latex off; it looked like he was ripping off his skin! AH!

Then at the end of the night we had to get ready for bed! Georgie and Ellen wore matching grey tops with loose shorts as the ultimate summer sleepwear!

Halloween Dress up night 30 Oct 2010

Halloween this year landed on a Sunday~perfect for the kids, go get candy and come home at a reasonable time to get up for school the next morning. For us young single folk, with no kids and are WAY to old to trick or treat, Saturday was the day for us. My evening started with some movies and make-up at my house before going out. We saw Scary Movie 3 and Rocky Horror Picture Show!

My sister got her friends to go nuts on her eyes and they were great at it! Leah just used eye shadow to create this blue cats eyes on MC. She grabbed a lighter blue to go up and over MC's eyelid, to under her brow~making her make up more dramatic and exciting!

MC also used most of the morning to do a couple of cornrows on her head. Only a bit of her head but it came out well with her long hair.

Make-up and hair took longer and MC's friends brought a lot over! We experimented with Karina painting my eyes green with a top ponytail. It looked alright I must admit.

Ang really captured the spirit of Halloween, scary and spooky, just the way Halloween was supposed to be! Angela came as one of the dead cast from Rocky Horror Picture Show~pale face, skeleton earrings, red bleeding lips and dark eyes.Diana came as the corpse bride, in all back she looked very sexy. Olivia wore a bed sheet carefully wrapped to transform her into a Greek goddess!

As we moved from the house out into town, we saw a lot of people dressed up~ coming from various parties round town. Lots of people were in togas, vampire outfits and things which I don't know how to describe!
Hannah wore blue jeans and heels with a hot tight black top! Ellen wore a loose dress held on by a belt~she was a little Tigerlilly!

Alyce, on the far left was Alice in Wonderland. I loved her outfit more because she made it! You get a better look at Ellen's gear. Sabrina was a fire-woman saving everyone from dancing alone! MinHee and MinJong came as very cute sisters!

I really enjoyed MinJong's outfit! Long shirt, short skirt, short jacket long haired wig and very shimmery metallic tights!

Caitlin and Mario! Caitlin wore a little red riding hood outfit that was too cute! She's her with Mario, who ate a lot of those mushrooms! Such a cute character to dress up as will get you noticed and everyone wants a pic with you!

Halloween ~ Where did it begin?

Halloween is coming soon and I must admit that I really did not know why we celebrated this holiday every year. Probably because I'm not a child dressing up anymore, this is going to be my first year giving candy instead of receiving it. So I thought maybe, I should investigate what holiday I am really celebrating.

I heard many stories about how Halloween started; from my research, it looks like Halloween is an old Celtic celebration, and somewhat mixed with Christian celebration. The Celts celebrated the last day of October as the end of summer. They believed it was on that day, the dead would be able to come back to life. The Christian religion has a day for all dead people on the 1st November; All Saints Day. This is where we pray for all the people who have died before us. So the mixing of the two different celebrations, but both around the theme of death must've merged in together to create Halloween.

I remember hearing a story about why we give out chocolates and candy to kids. Back in the middle-ages, beggars would come to the door and beg for food in exchange for praying for the homes dead ones. The beggars were usually given sweet bread and that's how we came to this day to give out sweet things and candies to the dressed up kids!

Masters Games and Hollie's Birthday

Saturday night was a busy one for me! Hollie was having her 21st Birthday again and I had to support the family by watching dad go through the Masters Games opening Parade! We had to look hard for a parking lot at 5:05, the meeting time was at 5:30 for a parade start at 6:00. But the parade started on time! Alice Springs on time that is 6:10. So there was plenty of time for me to take pictures of the wonderful outfits and get-ups teams wore!

I was hanging mostly with the basketball group of the parade; because that's what dad was competing in. The Polar Bears basketball team all wore pink! Pink suits, hats, noses etc! I found out that they got all their great clothing off of e-bay!

I recon out of the whole group, this guy in a pink-panther inspired outfit was epic! He had the whole thing down; tail, nose and ears! I didn't look as awesome next to him, but I tried! I wore dark blue skinny jeans with a light white and blue print butterfly top. It was my little sister's top and she got pretty upset when she found out I wore it without asking her permission.

Here was the early birds in my dad's basketball team for those ages 50+. Very snappy uniforms, nice green color, loose sleeves and a snappy collar.

These ladies were fierce in their matching pirate outfits! They were on a mission so I didn't find out what team they from, what sport, where did you get those outfits, but I got a picture of them! Yeah!

These guys had great shirts - I think they're great because they have a lot of different drinks on their shirts! Apparently there was a big sale that they all went to...

Now we arrive at Hollie's Birthday. A great dinner at the Blue Moon Restaurant, good food, BYO and a karaoke machine!

Here's the birthday girl! Hollie (right) wore a great black mini covered with a bright pink cardigan. Catherine (left) wore a great black dress, complete with a belt and little detailed sequins down the front! Hollie's friend in the middle (whom I have forgotten the name~Sorry!) wearing a great print dress full of colors!

Lunch at Oscar's

Today, I went to lunch with my gals whom I haven't seen in absolutely ages! Sabrina wore a light blue shirt with a short high-waisted black skirt while Caitlin wore a cute tiny floral print dress with a zip up the front. Ellen had pale shorts matched with a loose flowing pastel shirt

Rowie had a groovy white print top with lace at the back. Melissa wore a great black halter neck top with 3 gold chains as the support for the shirt. I do like both styles because you can be sexy in a very casual way.

Masquerade Ball by L.A.S.S. ~ 2 Oct 2010

I was so happy and excited to be a apart of the L.A.S.S. first event: The Masquerade Ball! All on Saturday night! All the L.A.S.S. ladies and their men helped set up and transform the local basketball courts into a party arena! Here was some of our friends before we headed off home! Here is Celine and Maricelle. I love Celine's dress - No shoulder pads! She has gotten creative and instead of those 'fashionable' shoulder pads, she has still drawn attention to her dress by having feathers on her shoulders! This has a great strong impact with beautiful elegance! Okay little shoulder pads are alright, but the massive ones resurrecting from the "Thriller" '80's should remain in the past. Maricelle wore a flowing strapless formal mini. She had a fitted corset top with beautiful embroided and sewn on details with the bottom fluffy and reminiscent of the ballerina dress.

Here's me and Melanie! I'm wearing a mask that I made from the Desert festival! I was so happy to wear it - for about 10 minutes. I learnt that under a mask, it becomes very hot; and make-up on your nose migrates to the mask and stays there.

Melanie wore a strapless mini with a plaid-inspired a pttern scheme! I like her outfit because she let the dress shine by leaving her bling at home! And if she did wear excess jewelry, it probably would've looked like a Picasso painting. And it would've fallen off because of all the dancing we did!

Here is what I call ‘Sarah’s mob’. She always brings her friends to almost any event she goes to! Thein was wearing a matching grey suit that complimented Jit’s black long-sleeved mini dress. That little black dress hugged stunningly against her small frame- Thien and Ju-jit looked so cute together! Win-win wore a strapless black dress with a great belt to match. Her chunky-strapped shoes topped the outfit off along with her bright blue mask! Jasmine has a striking strapless mini. The lightweight fabric went well with the layers and the valiant colors and potted pattern on it.

Don't think I forgot about Emily, I love her simple tie-dye inspired dress!I always love seeing her because she has a style that is her own and it always has COLOR!

Sarah wore a LBD that was sparkling! Joylyn also had sparkles on her dress - all over the front it was covered with sequins! Both wearing Little Black Dresses and both were sweet!

M.C. wore a dress that Nanay brought back form Florida - a spaghetti strap dress ending at the knees! I know the Trinny and Susannah say that for big arms you shouldn't have spaghetti straps, but my sister seemed to work with it! She got rid of her shawl and kept moving - that's the trick for covering up the little fashion mistake is by moving all the time!

Rowie had a great combination of colors in her dress! Liz had a long formal floral dress-it was really cool when she spun around, like from one of those Disney movies! Also Jane wore a dress fluttering with gold sequins- very '30 retro style! And congratulations to Lady Jane for selling the most tickets for the bll!

Here I am with Liz and Joylyn! This is one of the only pictures I have with a full shot of me in it! I'm also wearing a dress that Nanay got for me while she was on holiday. A cute strapless mini with sequins dominating the top of my dress! It was very comfy and I'm glad it wasn't too tight or too short; I needed to eat and dance!

I enjoyed Sabrina's dress, one thick sleeve and one thin one - thank God she didn't wear shoulder pads! I also found it interesting that her dress had an abstract floral print on it!

Charlie had one of the craziest masks of the night! It was just cardboard with swirls all over it and one hold for the EYE!

Here's Nanay and MC - Nanay had MC and I to coach her on what to wear. I like her in animal print fabric, it makes her look sexy without the need to show to much skin!

The weekend gone by...25-26 Sept 2010

Here's the fashion that I adored from the last weekend of last month. Don't quote me on that tho!

First was Piwi's 18th Birthday party.

I wore 3/4 blue denim pants with a black kimono-inspired top. It was a pretty sheer top so I had to wear a bra that would blend in nicely into the shirt - a black one!

Here are the other guys at the party! All the girls had little black skirts! Little black leather or ballerina or tight skirts - they got it! I adore Katie's outfit, she wore a Rolling Stones shirt with a black mini skirt. It was wonderfully accessorised with torn tights, black boots and an animal print hippie headband!

Later on that evening I had to go get Hannah from another birthday party to make sure she saw Piwi before she drank anymore! I really love Tassie's outfit - a white mini with black print mini dress, a chunky brown belt! I want it! Mini dresses and stockings to keep the legs warm this spring is in. Though Hannah braved the cold!

Here we are later out in town. Deanne was wearing a very attractive butterfly-sequined cream shirt!

Ellen wore a stunning white layered top with spaghetti straps and a black belt. I also adore her headband with a glittery decoration on it - A 1930's retro style!
Filipino Mass ~ 26 Sept 2010

The next morning there was a MASSIVE Filipino Mass at the church and it was packed with people!

Here are some of the cool shirts from the choir members! It has all the colors from the Filipino flag and it has the islands on it with gold thread!

M.C. and I came in a little late so we had to sit at the back of the choir and sing from there!

Germaine wore a bright polo shirt with a cute long dangle necklace -but what was the best was her cute smile and peace sign in this pic!

Here's a glimpse of the awesome traditional Filipino outfits at the mass! They usually consist of Barongs for the guys ~ a lightweight embroidered shirt. The girls wear the female version of the barong with high puffy sleeves with the same transparent fabric with a long flowing dress to match!

More lovely church goers! I love the range of color people wore to mass! The great bubbly red to the seasonal yellow then the very fashionable color right now - Black!

Sharmaine wore a bright yellow dress, brown belt and chunky bangles while my lil sista had her signature shorts and a BIG Hello Kitty hooded top.

All I planned to do today was to go grocery shopping, and go to choir practice tonight. I just needed some casual clothes that didn't look to sloppy. I grabbed my white shorts, white undershirt and an over sized purple top.

My little sister helped out with picking my hair-do for the day. She gave me a small, high side-bun on my head. I thought it would look completely silly but it was surprising cute! I think with a hairstyle like that, you can easily take 5 years off your age!

What I wore today!

Yah! Today was the day to have fun! The house was completely cleaned this morning so me and MC decided to reward ourselves by going out for lunch. After much discussion with mixing and matching, here's what we decided to wear!

I wore my favorite blue shorts with a black top. The black top had little round, donut sequins all over it with pastel colors and mini shoulder pads. I think this was a shirt to be worn out to dinner or town at night rather than the day. But I wore it because I liked it!

MC wore some cuffed shorts and my red and white striped top. I liked the rope holding the outfit together - that was just cool. The only downside to this top was that it reminded me of sailors and SpongeBob- hence my sister's new nickname 'SpongeBob'
