MACARONS

Macarons
Move over, cupcakes. There’s a new trendy dessert du jour, and yes, it’s French. Long popular in Paris, macarons — not to be confused with coconut macaroons — are becoming more popular thanks to their pillowy, bite-sized bliss. The perfect macaron features two meringue-based shells with a crisp exterior and airy, chewy interior; it’s held together by fillings of buttercream, jam, ganache, or caramel. It’s as delicious as it is simple.

Is our love affair with cupcakes over? Hardly. But everyone deserves to have a French fling — especially when it’s bound to end sweetly.

I found some yummy recipes for Macarons, here's the easy one, and the French one!
