What I wore today!

All I planned to do today was to go grocery shopping, and go to choir practice tonight. I just needed some casual clothes that didn't look to sloppy. I grabbed my white shorts, white undershirt and an over sized purple top. 

My little sister helped out with picking my hair-do for the day. She gave me a small, high side-bun on my head. I thought it would look completely silly but it was surprising cute! I think with a hairstyle like that, you can easily take 5 years off your age!

What I wore today!

Yah! Today was the day to have fun! The house was completely cleaned this morning so me and MC decided to reward ourselves by going out for lunch. After much discussion with mixing and matching, here's what we decided to wear!

 I wore my favorite blue shorts with a black top. The black top had little round, donut sequins all over it with pastel colors and mini shoulder pads. I think this was a shirt to be worn out to dinner or town at night rather than the day. But I wore it because I liked it!

MC wore some cuffed shorts and my red and white striped top. I liked the rope holding the outfit together - that was just cool. The only downside to this top was that it reminded me of sailors and SpongeBob- hence my sister's new nickname 'SpongeBob'

What I wore on Sat night

Fri night, Joe from Church offered to have a dinner at his place! I decided to wear a black high-waisted skirt with a loose white top that was tucked in. I thought it looked a little to uptight, so I added a red undershirt and had my white shirt unbuttoned to give a more relaxed feel to my outfit. 

I was very excited to go because the views of the ranges from his house were spectacular! 

What I Wore today!

Here's what I wore out today! I had made a blue high-waisted skirt a couple weeks ago but hadn't worn it out, so I thought now is the time! The weather's changing - too hot to wear a jacket but there's still a breeze! I also found an old 2-in-1 shirt of mine. I love it how it disguises itself as along sleeve shirt with a small red jumper!

This weekend - 18 Sept 2010

I took a break form all the work at home and headed out into town on Sat night! Very exciting for me to venture out and see who was wearing what! I spotted Olivia here with Warren coming into town from the Masquerade ball for the Desert Festival! I love how these two co-ordinated their outfits! Olivia's dress was so posh! A long red flowing dress, black long gloves and a mini black cape with an awesome mask!

Desert Festival 2010 - Mask-Making Workshop

I had never been to a Desert Festival workshop before but now that I have the time I said "Why not?" The Mask Making Workshop caught my eye and I went to it. The ladies there had almost everything you need - mask bases, feathers, fabric, paper, glue, glitter - you name it!

I started with a blank mask and not knowing what to do. The ladies suggested that I have a concept or and idea before I set off doing anything. I looked around at the materials and saw the many cans of spray paint. This brought me back to a guy named Wayne Gabaylo, an artist in Ouahu Hawaii, who makes all of his artworks out of spray painting! He makes a show out of the process too, putting layer after layer on top of each other to produce such stunning and imaginative artwork!

That's when I decided - This mask is going to be inspired by W. Gabaylo

Church 12 Sept 2010

Here are some of the lovely choir ladies from church! I really enjoy Tita Jean's clothing. Awhite dress with a black cardigan, black leggings and her fabulous long owl necklace! Desert Festival 2010

This Friday evening was the opening parade for the Alice Springs Desert Festival 2010! And I am so proud and excited to say that I was a part of the fun! I was helping out the Pinoy group being a warrior for the Ati-Atihan dance and drums! If you wanna look at the shoes check them out at my Shots of Shoes blog!

What I wore today!

I am soo excited about my outfit today! Why? I had an old 2010 world cup T-shirt and I made it better! It was baggy, it had horrid sleeves and it was boring! I fixed it up my chopping off the sleeves and adding some more color to it - and here is is!

Here's the front at home! Yeah, I thought Brazil was going to win...but they didn't!

Here's the back! I got the green fabric form one of MC's old shirts and used to to spice up my top!

And of course, here's my awesome little sister with great earrings shopping with me today!

What I wore today!

Today I wore an old black top with a white print flower on it with white shorts - just to match. I wanted to spruce up my outfit a little; so I wore long earrings, had half of my hair up topped with my favorite gray beanie! And of course I  had to have my massive bag which holds everything I need!
