As part of today's Earth Day celebrations a number of Manly cafes were giving free or discounted coffee to people who brought along their own reusable cups in a campaign to create awareness about Australia's damaging 'disposable cup habit'.

Who What Wear - CFDA Fashion Awards

While celebrity street style always inspires us to go from one day to the next in on-trend ensembles, your Who What Wear editors can't help but go ga-ga for a good gala. After all, we're magpies for a touch of sparkle and can be serious geeks for glitz, hence our excitement about the annual CFDA Fashion Awards! The ceremony, which took place on Monday night at Lincoln Center, is always a must-attend event and invariably attracts the leaders of the fashion pack wearing boldly beautiful looks. But before we get to the fabulous frocks and, ahem, killer pantsuit, a little background on this illustrious event!

Last night in Town 5 June 2010

Oh! I wanted to dance and eat chocolate yesterday after a very successful WYD Fashion show! The girls (who were ova 18) all got together and headed out into town! I wore a black and gray dress from Bebe, black tights and peep toes. I know peep toes aren't the proper choice of feet candy for winter, but I think it's perfectly fine to have your toes exposed int middle of winter! Just remember not to leave them out too long...

Congratulations, dear readers, this is your day! In fact, we're all on the brink of an exciting new time in our lives! Today we graduate from spring's neutrals, leave our transitional layers behind, and head into this new fashion season with renewed hunger. That's right; we're on the cusp of what is surely a momentous occasion in all our wardrobes: summer! Or, take a page from SJP's superlative style-file and opt for an au courant pop of neon. We'd recommend mixing in the fantastic fuschia Angular Shoulder Jacket ($472) from Vanessa Bruno to perk up all your basic black. @ Work

At work last night there was this adorable bag sitting in the fridge! What is a bag doing in the fridge? This was a cake made for one of the customer's having a birthday! All the staff, all the gals at work anyway, were fascinated with it! And it was a chocolate cake too! It looked real scrumptious.

Here are two phone key chains from some folks at work. A adore the top one just because it's a cut baby in a dinosaur suit. You think it looks cute on a key chain, when you see it on little kids they are too cute!
The next phone decoration is chunky. With this on your phone, there's no excuse to say you couldn't find it. And I don't see a lot of rocks on phones, giving it a unique oomph!

What did they wear?

Chocolate Chip Peanut Cookies

I read an article from Loft earlier this week saying how Macaroons are now a very fashionable dessert to have. They’re light, fluffy, French and delicate! What’s not to like about them? I put myself to the challenge of making a bunch of these macaroons, but as I read on articles on the internet, I got worried. The only things I can cook is rice, steak and salad! I need to practice and work my way up macaroons! I looked through my old cookbooks and found a recipe that I have from year 7 Home Economics Class! Choc Chip Peanut Cookies; They sound yum, so I’ll make them!
WARNING: This recipe is full of NUTS! It will contain nuts, will always have nuts and I feel so bad for you out there who are allergic to this wonderful nut; THE PEANUT!

This article was brought to my attention by Rosemary Yanz. This article makes me feel so much better about myself and I think it will do the same for you! Gretchen Voss discusses the dangers of the "Yo-yo diet"and tells us why dieting by itself, isn't the healthiest thing to do. You can find the article here.

Neon Nights

There's something about warm weather that makes people get a little frisky with their fashion choices—a sentiment that's particularly true on the red carpet right now! But rather than going for edgy silhouettes or barely-there dresses, tastemakers like Gwyneth Paltrow, Diane Kruger, and Kirsten Dunst are turning up the sartorial heat by opting for formal gowns in a slew of fluorescent hues.
