The ladies day races in Alice Springs was a colorful flutter of beautiful ladies in a concentrated area. As well as enjoying the atmosphere of the races and getting toasted in the heat, I spotted dresses, shoes, hair and bling that caught my eye.
These two ladies had simple flare. The messy hair contrasts with the elegant dresses but it works out for them! They kept their dresses to a minimum and vamped up their hair and shoes. The purple frills is not a minimum, i know, but it adds some vibrancy to the whole outfit!
This shopper had one of the simpler dresses but wore it very well. The dress complimented her slim figure, the hat helped make her look fun. And the lack of accessories was great because it made her look so much more relaxed than the other ladies there.
Awesome messy hair with a light flower in it, pale clutch and a lotta fun combined to make Laura's gorgeous get-up. I remember getting a shirt covered with sequins, it looked great but was very had to wear because my arms would rub against the sequins and it became very irritable. So now i admire everyone who can wear sequins in excess without hurting themselves. Her black dress with a pattern of gold sequins was simple and she carried it well. But I think that these short simple 'box' design dresses are only for the people who can carry it well: you gotta have a nice rack.
Does anyone remember the 'Fergalicious' music video? This dress reminds me of Fergie's little pink dress. It's short, cute and a little cheeky.
This was a beautiful break from all of the Little-Black-Dresses so many ladies wore. It's still little, it's still a dress, but it's black and white! And I love how casual her dress is, and her long hair left down was beautiful and one of the few that had their hair like that!
I see these three girls around town and I think their job in life is just to look good. I haven't seen them EVER in a bad outfit. And this picture is here to prove it. The left has a silver mini with a black clutch, and the flavor of the dress was coming from the gatherings in the fabric. The middle had a simple electric blur mini, it stood out by it's bold colors mixed with the messy side-ponytail. The right has a spaghetti strap bubble-mini. Her hair is stunning my making her neck look longer with the half-up, half-down-do.
This mini was like an artwork in itself. The scooping neckline draws the eyes to the detail along the dress. But it gets even better! When she turned around, it revealed that the two straps in the front, met together and joined at and down the back by lacing the two straps together! It was a gorgeous dress and a great choice for the hot weather.
