Erin Wasson

Erin Wasson's proverbial plate is very full. Not only is the supermodel-stylist-designer still digesting the heaps of press and praise she received for her third RVCA collaboration (which she showed to a packed-house of industry insiders during NYFW), but she's also expanding her design empire. The muse-du-monde whipped up a new 25-piece jewelry collection for spring LowLuv by Erin Wasson comprised of cool necessities like stackable bracelets, silver rings, and leather necklaces. And, unlike her earlier foray in the fine-jewelry world, this costume line is crafted out of plated gold and silver, making all of the items totally attainable must-buys! Aside from the affordability factor, you're sure to adore the whole range, which was inspired by an imagined "walkabout" in the American Southwest. Think: strong shapes, sturdy craftsmanship, plus a healthy dollop of Wasson's signature edge.

Upon seeing the LowLuv costume collection, we immediately wondered how Wasson herself would wear the pieces and incorporate them into her covetable closet. Thankfully we've got the lovely lady on direct dial and she was gracious enough to share all of her spring essentials with us everything from her favorite bangles to the fragrance she's currently wearing. Please feel free to feast on all of her picks; we know we will be reaching for seconds ourselves!

Alexander Wang for Linda Farrow Silver Zipper Sunglasses ($365)
Longtime friends and collaborators, Wasson and Wang have a natural affinity for each other's aesthetic. So it makes sense that the model-muse would opt for these edgy-yet-effortless Silver Zip frames from Wang's debut sunglass collection with Linda Farrow they are impossibly cool!

LowLuv by Erin Wasson Silver Plated Cross Pendant on Leather Cord ($98,)
When Wasson took her bow at the end of her most recent RVCA runway show in New York, our eyes immediately made a beeline for the cross necklace strung around the designer's neck. The piece, which is made out of horseshoe nails, pays homage to Wasson's unwavering love of all things equine and nods to her Western upbringing! We can't wait to get one of these of our very own and wear it with our favorite breezy blouses or a floral print dresses to a springtime musical festival or a summer BBQ!

RVCA x Erin Wasson Hitchhiker Dress ($95,SAKS)
Wasson favors shapes that are easy-to-wear and have that effortless quality that epitomizes her off-duty wardrobe. This Hitchhiker dress features a pale palette and interesting folding details, which would look perfect with a pair of substantial boots or woven sandals this spring!

LowLuv by Erin Wasson Silver Plated Aztec Ring ($68,), Silver Plated Crater Bangle ($55), Silver Plated Arrow Bangle ($80)
We've lusted after the LowLuv fine pieces for a few seasons now, so when we heard she was coming out with a more budget-friendly collection, we couldn't wait to snap it up! The silver and metal-plated bracelets, necklaces, and rings, which draw inspiration from Mexican artisans and native American Indian tribal art, and are crafted from substantial and natural materials like leather cord and sterling silver, will make a seriously stylish statement all spring and well into the summer months.

Missoni S/S 10 Collection
There was a lightness and airy-quality to Missoni's the S/S 10 collection that was undeniably fresh and speaks to everyone's inner bohemian. This collection definitely inspired Wasson as well, who was very influenced by the idea of gypsies and nomadic imagery. The gauzy layering pieces such as the Mesh Knit And Jersey Trousers ($1055) and the West Lurex Knit Maxi Sweater ($1059), as well as the decorative tassel flourishes seen on the Fabric and Chain Belt ($482), lend themselves particularly well to this transitional in-between season!

Maybelline The COLOSSAL Volum' Express Mascara ($7)
Full disclosure: Erin Wasson has a beauty contract with Maybelline (which you knew, duh). But even if she didn't, she would have picked this mascara as her go-to beauty product. Just a coat or two and your lashes will look longer and plumper trust us, we also swear by it! As Wasson succinctly states the reason for her choice: it works!

RVCA x Erin Wasson Keep It Neil T-Shirt ($60,)
This boxy t-shirt is an ode to one of Wasson's favorite musicians, Neil Young. Not only is he one of the most prolific and influential singer-songwriters alive, but also his music and his attitude have certainly served as a Wasson muse.

J Brand Seven-Eighths Skinny Jeans ($170)
When it comes to denim there is only one name on Wasson's wish list: J Brand! Though her favorite style is the Seven-Eighths cropped cut, she does admit to loving the entire legging-like line and really, who can blame her?

Vintage Belt
After years of traveling for work and pleasure, Wasson has amassed an incredible collection of vintage treasures. She used this exact belt to tie together a look from her F/W 10 collection (held just last week during the New York shows) but you needn't spend years thrifting to find a similar style; be sure to try Elegantly Waisted's Nyx Belt ($64) if you want a more contemporary alternative, too!

Byredo Parfums Gypsy Water ($195)
This Stockholm-based company is known for their unforgettable fragrances, so it is no wonder that la Wasson would pick one of their unique scents. Gypsy Water which combines bergamot, pine needles, lemon, and pepper is really a remarkable mixture, proving that Wasson's nose knows what to look for in a signature scent!
