What was she wearing?
Though we've been glued to our computers watching the live-streaming F/W 10 shows from New York, London, Milan, and Paris for the past few weeks, that doesn't mean we're shirking our daily duties. In fact, when it comes to the here and now, we embrace our obligations to our readers and have been happily hunting down the answers to your most pressing clothing quandaries. Whether it's Amber Heard's favorite stovepipe jeans or Whitney Port's terrific tiered coat, we've got all the solutions to satisfy your immediate sartorial queries in today's What Was She Wearing: Answers! story!
Anne Hathaway
Anne Hathaway went for a casual look while running errands in Beverly Hills last week and this effortless combo incited an email craze! To answer your many pleas, the Alice in Wonderland-actress opted for a pair of J Brand jeansspecifically the 901 Denim Leggings ($139) in the Olympia washand a comfortable vintage jumper (try the V-Neck Sweater ($225) from Seven for All Mankind for a smart cashmere alternative). But what really stole the spotlight for you, dear readers, was Hathaway's amazing accessories. Her gray Prada Grigio Spazzolato Bag ($2150) is one of our very favorites from the new spring collection, but we also quite like Olivia Harris' North South Hobo Bag ($575) as an alternative. And while we are fans of TOMS' Classic Canvas Slippers ($78), Hathaway's particular shoes tell a remarkable story. The personalized pair was created during a "Style Your Sole" party, which was organized to raise awareness for the upcoming One Day Without Shoes. Held on April 8th, the event raises awareness and funds for children in developing countries who desperately need shoes to protect their feet from things like unsafe roads, contaminated soil, scrapes and infection. Looking good and doing good are two things that go very well together so make sure to go to www.toms.com for more information.
Whitney Port
Whitney Port is one of those fashionable femmes who seem to be incapable of leaving the house in anything less than an outstanding outfit. Case in point: just a few days ago, Port was snapped stepping out in New York wearing some seriously chic apparel. The City-star wore Nary Manivong's Lime Green Silk Pants ($325) and two incredible pieces from Loeffler Randall. The peerless Layered Coat ($508) and Vertical Ruffle Bootie ($375) are both aspirational, so we also recommend that you check out Forever 21's Ruffle Lapel Wool Coat ($43) and Pour La Victoire's Ruffle Booties ($285) for two look-a-like items!
Alexa Chung
Reader favorite, Alexa Chung, looked lovely at the 3.1 Phillip Lim show during New York Fashion Week. The trendsetter, who has been making headlines with her Alexa Chung for Madewell collaboration, wore a vintage patchwork sweater (try the Oversized Patterned Cardigan ($265) from Opening Ceremony), 3.1 Phillip Lim I Luv You Tee ($125) and black Marc Jacobs heels. Of course, what piqued your interest most was her printed Mulberry Alexa Leopard Bag ($1250). This version is certainly a spring essential, but you can also get the look via Marc by Marc Jacob's Classic Q Groovee Satchel ($498) for a similarly shaped and equally chic selection.
Amber Heard
December's GOTM Amber Heard lunched in style at Los Angeles eatery Joan's on Third. The Zombieland stunner rocked a laid-back ensemble consisting of Paige Premium Denim's Skyline Skinny Jeans ($189) in the Cottonwood Creek wash, Hugo Boss' Juicy Jacket ($650), and Diesel Black Gold's Sil-Fo Scarf ($40). To finish off the look, she slipped on Ray-Ban's Clubmaster Sunglasses ($195) and pair of Lanvin Python Ballet Flats ($935)be sure to try Anne Klein's Sabriel Flats ($80) for an amazing alternative to ensure that your style is seen and Heard!
